Illalla satoi. Satoi kuin jumala olisi halunnut todistaa voimansa meille kuolevaisille.

Tunsin kuinka märän maan tuoksu leijui sisään puoliksi avoimesta ikkunasta.
Kirjeesi mukaan olit tulossa, joten tiesin odottaa.

Tunnit kuluivat verkkaisesti, kuin haavoittuneina ne laahustivat kohti turvaa, keskiyötä, kohti hetkeä jolloin ovi kävisi.

Ilokseni huomasin päälläsi kaatosateen syvät raatelujäljet.
Ne auttoivat minua.
Vaatteistasi oli tullut sinulle vankila.

It was raining at night. It was raining as if god wanted to prove his might for us mortals.

I felt the scent of wet ground floating in through half-opened window.
Your letter said you'd be coming, so I knew to wait for.

Hours passed by slowly, like wounded they trudged towards safety, midnight, towards the moment the door would creak.

Blissfully I noticed the lacerations on you, caused by the heavy rain.
They helped me.
Your clothes had become a prison for you.
